Blessed

I am overwhelmed by blessings. This semester I have wondered again and again at how often God has blessed me, privileged me, and truly shown me grace. Undeserved. Sometimes ungratefully received. But unending.

God blesses me through the people He allows me to know...my roommate, the team in Thailand, my friends (at home, here at college, and around the world) and my family. He blesses me with the work He has given me, the prayers He has answered, and the places He has taken me. I have seen His grace to the extent that I live expecting the unexpected...His perfectly timed gifts of grace.

So, why? Why me and not another? Am I the most grateful? Hardly. Actually, I'll adapt the answer of Knute Larson, a speaker in chapel this week. It is not mine to know why or to think I know why. All I need to know is that God has chosen this, that He is good, He loves his people, and He blesses! God doesn't tell me why, but He does tell me what to do with his blessings: to bless His name and let Him use me to bless others!

Psalm 34: 1-3
I will bless the LORD at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul will make its boast in the LORD;
The humble will hear it and rejoice.
3 O magnify the LORD with me,
And let us exalt His name together.

So, if you get the chance to sit down and chat with me sometime, ask me! Ask me how I am blessed today, remind me of the goodness I am so quick to forget, and praise my Lord with me!

Here's a song my little sister introduced me to last year...
